Tournament Scoring

Participants must check in between 12:00pm and 2:30 p.m. to confirm their registration for the tournament.
Check-in will take place at the Salon des Ambassadeurs, the tournament venue.
FFE and FIDE-approved open tournament in 9 rounds, Swiss system with opportunities to earn IM and GM norms.
Game pace: 1 hour 30 minutes for 40 moves + 30 minutes with 30 seconds per move from the first move.
Tournament A for players rated 2200 and above.
Tournament B for players rated 2100 and below. Players rated between 2100 and 2200 can choose between Tournament A and B.
Tournament C for players rated 1600 and below. Players rated between 1600 and 1700 can choose between Tournament B or C.
REMINDER: Players may take a maximum of two “byes” in the first six rounds, i.e., they may sit out a round and score half a point.
