CANNES: THE LARGEST GAME ARENA IN THE FRENCH-SPEAKING WORLD!

«The Cannes International Games Festival has become the main game event among the French-speaking countries, with a total of 80 000 attendees in 2022 from both the game enthusiasts community and members of the industry. We are certain that the Fair’s expansion dynamic will keep amplifying over the coming 36th Edition. The event perfectly aligns with the multiple projects I have been promoting through the municipality around a creative economy and the CANNES ON AIR initiative for which the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès plays a major role. »

DAVID LISNARD. MAYOR OF CANNES

CANNES AS THE CAPITAL CITY OF GAMES

The city of Cannes and its Palais des Festivals organizes the International Games Festival each year and for one week it becomes the epicenter of what is new in the international games industry. Studios, publishers, authors, illustrators, gamers and the like all gather on the famous Croisette.

Amateurs, experienced competitors as well as professionals take over the Palais des Festivals which becomes a massive gaming board with over 45 000m² of traditional and classic games, recent board games, videogames & VR, simulation games (RPGS, miniature, historical and fantastic Wargames etc), cards, construction games, Arts & Crafts, toys and much more.

2023 HIGLIGHTS

The 2023 International Games Festival will be an edition to remember.
The Festival keeps growing inside of the Palais des Festivals but also outside, featuring new spaces on the esplanade and on the beach dedicated to demos, exhibitions and tournaments, offering the attendees a unique experience!
Everything has been thought out for you to fully enjoy the Festival, whether it is for a day or for the whole weekend.

Inside the venue two new exhibition areas will open for a total of 24 000m² of booths:

- The Expo Hall on Level -1 will be dedicated to casual expert and intermediate gamers.
- The Riviera Expo Hall and Rotunda on Level 0 will once again be dedicated to families and children.
- Novelties:

o The Mediterranée Hall on Level 0 will focus on creativity with the “As d’Or Game of the Year” award showroom and the PROTOLAB.

Multiple exhibitions will take place across these different areas.

Outside, everything is new! Several structures on the esplanade and on the beach will host more booths for you to try the latest games created by our exhibitors as well as best-sellers. This will also be the spot to try your hand at a tournament or two! Food trucks will welcome you all day in the middle of the village with a large indoor picnic area. These structures will also host different animations, both
fun and musical, to keep you entertained at all times. At night the fun will continue with the very popular OFF NIGHTS in a massive purpose built structure on the beach. These “protonights” will be more thrilling than ever!

Because we want to offer you a memorable experience and welcome you in the best conditions possible, we are asking attendees over 16 years old to purchase a ticket at the cost of 10€ per day.
