There are two rule levels: one for younger players, with no villains, and another where a villain adds an extra rule to the game.
To start playing, flip the tiles face down to form a 3×3 or 4×4 square. On each turn, you must find an animal hiding beneath the tiles. However, the other players may only help by indicating the row or column where they think they saw the animal.
If you find an animal, take a tooth token matching the size of the animal found.
Find 9 teeth and you win!
Otherwise, time passes… and when daylight breaks, you lose!
The ogre, the witch, and the dragon are used in the advanced mode.
They can be defeated using items found in the forest. As long as they remain revealed, they inflict a penalty on the players.
