APOU - The clever and chaotic trick-taking game for the whole family
APOU is a fast-paced, clever family card game full of mischief, where bluffing, tactics, and intuition make all the difference.
Accessible from age 7, it plays with 2 to 4 players in about 10 minutes, and leaves everyone eager to play again.
Each player embodies an animal family (Wolves, Birds, Monkeys, or Snakes) and tries to conquer forest territories by winning tricks… but above all by accurately announcing their intentions.
The heart of APOU lies in a trick-bidding system:
at the start of each round, players estimate how many tricks they expect to win.
Correct estimate? You score points.
Wrong prediction? You lose cards and weaken your position for the rest of the game.
Cards represent natural elements (Earth, Air, Lightning, Water, Fire, Forest), each with a specific priority… and sometimes the ability to cancel others, creating constant twists and surprises.
Special Chaos cards disrupt the rules at every trick (weather events, pollution, hunting, deforestation…), making each game unpredictable and unique.
Behind its colorful, animal-themed universe, APOU offers a symbolic take on nature, ecosystem balance, and competition for resources.
Each territory won represents a preserved space where your family can thrive.
